Seat Belt Safety Facts

In most Florida defensive driving courses, students are told about a zillion things that would make them a better and responsible driver. There are so many techniques involved to protect yourself and one of the most important and simplest defensive driving techniques is to wear your seat belt. It is well proven that seat belts have saved a lot of lives when crashes happen. According to studies, vehicle occupants have a 40% chance of surviving a crash if they wear seat belts. Seat belts also play a major role in reducing injuries and 20% of all road fatalities have found people not wearing a restraint. Hundreds of people disabled for life in road crashes were found not wearing seat belts.
